Open to multimedia students, curious developers, illustrators and Apple fan developer. Yup… be a part of The Design People IPAD Touch Challenge.
Last Friday, Perry brought Tiger’s iPad on my desk… My first impression… HUGE! The bulk of its surface is taken up by a 9.7-inch, 1024 x 768, capacitive, multi-touch LED-backlit display surrounded by a glossy black bezel that some will say is too wide. Well for me, If I decided to have the medium-sized everyday purse and I cannot safely fit an iPad in it. It was fit on my lap, but it will restrain my wrist, Why they didn’t design an iPad stand? Apple byte iPad was not meant to be!
The aluminium back feels great under the finger and nothing feels cheap. There is an audio jack connector for headphones, and a microphone for apps that need it. The speaker is on the bottom of the device where the “Home” button is. The typing was wonderful, unlike the iTouch with smaller screen.
Surfing and reading is great. Have a great potential if you are using stanza or other ebook reader it was fun. The iPad can be cranked up to an almost painful brightness, but also handles lower settings well — that’s especially important for readers (they even include a brightness control inside of iBooks).
For me, it just like having a big iTouch, women are obviously not the demographic for the iPad, but it will be interesting to see how or if Apple tries to find some niche use for us, I really love my iTouch, thanks to Gerry. I hope iPad user out there get their money’s worth… Thank Kristel for the Photo!
Stanza is an eBook reader and is a free application of iTouch and iPhone Apple. I been using it, since the day Gerry’s bought my iTouch.
Well, before I been reading my fav eBook through my HP Windows Mobile sad to say I’ve been limited to .lit file only. Amazingly Stanza makes my reading more entertaining and easy. Now I can enjoyed reading text file extensions such as pdf, html, lit, txt. While, Stanza Desktop contains built-in reading support for DRM-free Amazon Kindle, Mobipocket, Microsoft LIT, and PalmDoc, as well as Microsoft Word, Rich Text Format, HTML, and PDF. Stanza iPhone / iPod Touch supports eReader with or without DRM and ePub without DRM. More details can be found on Stanza’s Supported Formats page.
Aside from the page flip animation and the bookmark which I really enjoyed featured, I also love the xingxang background, the font selector, the cover flow, the search and organize function, the share local and read global and much much more on the online catalog.
Grab your Stanza now and enjoy your iPhone reading!
Ok. I did not score the newest craze Ipad, but Gerry bought me an iTouch.
Wowee, finally i said goodbye to my old ipod shuffle and my hp window mobile. iTouch makes my life easier, i was able to listen to my fav song and read my .lit ebook through Stanza. Gerry installed free version of Red Alert Game and Asphal and it was amazing (I will keep using my gentle persuasion to buy the Red Alert Full Version).

I been waiting for so long and excited about the released of this Apple Tablet, but after I watched the online demo of Steve Job I got frustrated because still it doesn’t play flash, (how can play Cafe World on this big gadget).
I thought Ipad is the junior of MacBook or Mac Air, with the touch technology, frustrated to found out it was the big brother of Iphone and Itouch.
But well, it look like its going to be my gaming gadget, ebook-reader (way much better on Kindle), DVD player, email tool, home computer, photo-viewer, TV and ‘do just about anything at a touch’ (thanks to Apps) and way cheaper than a MacBook.
The review was not that nice and I still want to know the pros and con of Ipad. Until then, after 60 days of consumer review, i will keep my wallet in the pocket.
